The material is a lovely soft synthetic satin with a weave that gives it a velvet like look. The cut of the sleeves is unfortunately such that raising ones arms is very difficult in the big sizes. In L and XL the neck opening is in addition disproportionately large. I will still wear these but will have to radically alter the sleeve cap and neck line. (e.g. Putting in a lace yoke would let me alter all the weird points at once)
